Agreed - there was no reason to saw at the wheel - he had not lost the back at that point at all. He was trying (in my opinion) to make the car go loose.

That was what I thought as well. He didn't have enough time to do another lap and there were drivers behind him on a hot lap.

Guess that will be the determing factor that the stewards will take into consideration when reaching their decision.

He won't be penalised for out braking him self, only for reversing and impeding any drivers on hot laps.

Rosberg has turned in far too early there. Putting steering angle on the car during heavy braking is the easiest way to lock the brakes. Binning it into the wall would be too obvious and is far more work to rectify for the team. I think it was deliberate. He knew it would unsettle Lewis. He's lost 4 races in a row to Lewis now and if he can't beat him on track, beat him off the track.

End of the day he had no reason to reverse back onto the track until the season was over

Off board looks so clumsy, I can't believe he couldn't hold that.

Something had to give at Merc. Few people will believe anything Rosberg says, but I bet the stewards will let it go "because it is good for the SHOW."

I don't know, onboard it looks genuine, off board it does like of look like unecessary hand movement.

I would have to give the benefit of the doubt on that occasion.

However I didn't know he reversed back up the track, Brundle was saying that is the one thing he should not do before it cut away from him.

Its not that it was impeding Hamilton that much, but the drivers behind Hamilton would have been held up more.

I might be wrong here as i don't know how the safety system works, but i do believe that had Rosberg carried on and went deeper into the end of that escape road and parked it there, there wouldn't be a problem at all or would make the yellow disappear earlier...Just my opinion nothing more.

Of course it impeded lewis - there were waved yellows because he was there.
