There have been several instances where cars have been parked at the end of that slip road for an entire race, with green flags.Mandrake wrote:even if ros would have parked it at the end it is dangerous. Imagine a car losing control sliding into the exit while rosberg is getting out.....there will always be flags.gray41 wrote:This is why I think he'll get a penalty, I guess its a question of the severity.beelsebob wrote: Right, which is why what he should have done is driven to the end of the escape road, like any sane driver would have.
Penalty points, 3 place drop, 10 place drop or DSQ from qualifying?
As I understand it, the "dash display" is not relative to other drivers - it's relative to the best lap the driver has done so far. If Lewis was up by two tenths on his previous best, and was 0.059 slower on his previous best than pole, then surely he would have been in with a great shot at getting pole?Ferraripilot wrote:Lewis had only just entered sector 2, and he was down on Nico. Not possible that he picked up two tenths in just entering the sector.
Of course, reversing does not make it any better. But the yellow flags will be out as long as the car is somewhere in that area AND the driver is still in. Not sure what happened if the driver was out already, but for an oncoming car, a parked car is also dangerous.astracrazy wrote:but there won't always be a car reversing back onto the track which is more of the problemMandrake wrote:even if ros would have parked it at the end it is dangerous. This happens everywhere. Somebody having a problem, yellow flags appear and for the drivers that are unlucky to get by immediately it is bad luck. Had Rosberg been last he would not have made anyone worse off. Not his fault he was going for it not as the last driver.gray41 wrote:Will they take in that he essentially spoilt a few other drivers attempts to go faster too?
We don't know where he was on the corner when Kvyat went by.
i think they would of gone green if he stayed at the end of the escape road. its quiet deep and out the way - we will never know because he reversed back onto the track which impeded drivers and kept the yellow flagsMandrake wrote:Of course, reversing does not make it any better. Correct. I don't really believe anybody expressed an opinion that dripped with any fanboyism. There are arguments for both sides to believe; that one believes the other doesn't mean he is a fanboy.NathanOlder wrote:Why do people have problems when members on this forum are fans and biased towards their driver? Every single person on this forum, is biased in 1 way or another towards certain drivers or teams. So when someone is biased, why do we get these people banging on about fanboys ect ? when they are equally a fanboy themselves.
The Charlie Whiting has all the telemetry, so I imagine that there's something they want to clear with Mercedes. If that's the case, then it suggests that Rosberg is being investigated for faking the crash; and the reversing might be added sorrow.gray41 wrote:If they've been summoned does that mean penalty impending?
Well deserved. His crash with Massa was ridiculous.gray41 wrote:Ericcson handed pit-lane start.
