It doesn't look too bad. Do they use a different suspension or different suspension arms (wishbones)? Everybody said that they need to strengthen the suspension because the tyre doesn't help the suspension anymore. So I'd be surprised if they just stuck that tyres to their normal suspension.

Get these on for next season, they look great!

Aside from (IMHO) the aesthetic improvement I can only imagine that one of the key benefits will be better predictability in the lateral flexing of the tyre through a corner, less height to the sidewall and all that.

The suspension will surely need to be softer too as I remember Martin Brundle saying that as much as half of the cars ability to absorb bumps came from the flex in the sidewall.

i think the suspension is strong enough, (i dont believe the flexing of sidewalls added that much in terms of strength to the suspension per se) they probably need to strengthen it if they want to continue bumping into each other with the new tyres?

Also, compliance would be better with less sidewall flex to factor in, so i'm sure teams would (in time) welcome the change. But till then, its back to the drawing board for the suspension guys..

I think with these tires, drivers will tend to avoid wheel to wheel action. If we were already using these wheels then I think Rosberg would have had a DNF in China after turn 1 and Hamilton would probably have had problems too last weekend after that wheel to wheel action with Vettel right after the start.

It looks AWESOME. Makes the 13" rims look like toys. Should be implemented ASAP, along with the jet-like windshields FIA has been testing!
