On another note, I expect Ferrari (or at least Alonso) to go well on this circuit.

1. Ferrari were pretty good around both Monaco and Hungary, which are closest to Singapore characteristically.
2. Pirelli are bringing the SS and S tyres to this race, so the hard tyre issue minimizes.
3. Alonso has always excelled around this track. Kimi not so much though.

Also the impact of loosing FRIC is higher on this circuit so we might see Force India or Williams surprise us a little?

1-4 Merc - RB, I don't think Williams can touch RB on this track. Same for Force India, downforce matters in Singapore, even big update (0,5s?) won't be enough. Ferrari = a bit of an unknown but not above 7th. If you're looking for FRIC impact (tenths and maybe) RB to Merc and some for McL.

The engine also helps a lot in Singapore despite popular belief.

My thoughts on this race... Fuel consumption ultra high and Radio assistance is banned... Looking forward to drivers peeking down at their dashboards on the straights to get the fuel and tyre status!

I suspect that Q3 will be immense. Both are extraordinarily gifted over one lap, and both rock around Singapore.

If fuel really becomes that limiting and everyone starts the race will all 100kg onboard, then Williams will enjoy what effectively is a 3% power advantage, in the region of 20hp...

Well, they first have to get their Q right. With a Q like in Monaco they will have no chance.
And I do not think that fuel will be crucial. Fuel was crucial with the EBD and the thirsty V8s. We have a lot of part throttle here, the V6 with turbo will be much more efficient. It will be possible to go to the last pitstop with full power and after the last pitstop there may be fuel trains.

That's already marginal and you are not accounting for time spent at part throttle on the exit of every corner.

Well, my estimation results in 108,7 kg/h. Shouldn't this be enough to account for part time throttle?

We also know that most teams do not use the full 100kg allowed per race and lift and coast regularly, as it seems to be the overall fastest strategy.

What about Monaco, a track close in terms of % at throttle?

72,52/69*78 = 82kg total fuel consumption with 8 slower laps behind the safety car.

Scaled to the race distance at singapore:

82/260*309 = 97,5 kg
