Button was told he wasn't needed next year this weekend.

I believe you, but source?
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Like they always do, buy new t-shirts, hats and flags and claim they have the best driver :D

So is it Alonso leaving Ferrari or maybe the other way round?

I tried this and I had understeer, I tried that and I had oversteer, at the end of the corner I just run out of talent

What about Renault coming back as a team? There were some rumores that Alonso might go to Enstone (Lotus) if they get financal support. It was in Enstone where he won 2 world titles, but in reality the Enstone won't happen.

There seems to have been a collective forum memory lapse. There was a lot of talk last year that Vettel had signed for Ferrari for 2015. Just like there was talk last year about Alonso to McLaren.

Here's a BBC article from Jan 2013:
Ferrari sources first said last summer that Vettel had talked with the Italian team about joining them in the future and come to some form of agreement.

The initial plan was said to be for him to join in 2014 but that prospect has now vanished.

He won in a Enstone team that had Symonds, Bob Bell, Alisson... and Briatore.
No reason for him to go back there.

Besides aren't they ending their association with Renault?
Something that began back in the Schumacher years.

Changed the topic title again... People, let's get it straight: NO individual topics for drivers leaving; all of that belongs in THIS thread.

Maybe "Silly Season" is not the best title for everyone...maybe you add "driver market" or something else, because you can wait for the thread on Kvyat and add him also in the title ;)

I think Ferrari are making a huge mistake. Even if they have a championship capable car (doubtful), they won't have the driver to pull it off. With a hypothetical Seb/Kimi pairing in 2014, they wouldn't have scored a single podium. I just don't see how the pecking order can drastically change for 2015 with the engine freeze in effect. Ferrari will be in even more of a turmoil next season...

Does anyone have the video of Massa interrupting the Alonso interview and asking him where he is going?
