Why the down votes people?
Because your original post added nothing to the discussion. If you had said that you saw an interview, read body language in a certain way and concluded Button going....going....gone I don't think you would have gotten down voted.

don't think it is any secret that honda would put their hands deep in their pocket to get alonso ...and who is to blame them

but alonso won't sign if button stays , he is too much competition as he proved against hamilton

personally I think they would be an ideal combination , but can't see it happening

Well all you had to do was ask. Not all discussions start with presented evidence you know. I can't spoon feed you everything; that would just lower the whole mystique of a silly season thread.

By that logic he'd have kicked up a fuss over Ferrari hiring Kimi...

It was interesting listening to the NBCSN interview after the race. Will Buxton was trying hard to get Alonso to reveal anything about what Team he would be with next year by asking what kind of engine would be powering the Car he drove after eliminating a possibility in the question. He implied that Alonso would have no other option than McLaren.

Alonso seemed non-plussed and non committal, saying something along the lines of "once you see the answer, it will have seemed obvious"

I thought about it and wondered about all the speculation about some teams having to drop out next year due to finances, and the remaining 8 teams fielding three cars each.

Insiders already know this, but can't say anything.

2015;
Ferrari - Kimi, Seb, and Fernando.

All the comments we've had from the teams have been to dismiss there being 3 cars, Williams said they couldn't afford it, Mclaren said there isn't enough time and Merc reckoned it would cost an extra £20million.

It can't be done without notice, and Bernie finding a lot of extra cash. An ill thought out rush to three cars could force more teams into financial doom. In any case, the third cars are non point scoring according to the rules are they not, or am I imagining that? If so, which of Kimi, Seb and Alonso are getting told they aren't scoring next season!

As for the Will Buxton interview, he reckons Alonso's 'obvious' destination is Mclaren.

This is said Alonso Interview.

So that rules out Mercedes and Lotus at least.

Not following up this thread particularly so not sure if this was speculated before.

Is Alonso planning to buy one of the smaller teams? He could have roped in sponsorship through his contacts and he be kind of a mentorship role?
Finishing second is being the first one of losers....

Why waste his money? Seriously there's nothing to gain by buying one of those small teams

At the end of this clip when the question was that the only teams with opening has Mercedes engines he says something like 'Oui that's it' -- doesn't that mean 'Yes that's it'?

Edit: that might mean he is off to Williams? They re pretty good this year. Alo and bottas can make a good combo

He is not gonna put his money all into it. Probably a share with roped in sponsors mainly and technical support as well. Probably do a schuey thing in building up a team?

Edited post above.

That might mean Alonso off to Williams? Plus bottas makes a good combo. They are good this year and if not for massa's misfortunes they could have been closer in the race.

Williams has Merc Engines so that wouldn't fit, plus Williams already confirmed Bottas and Massa for 2015.

And he said "Wait, wait and see" to the comment that the only free Seats are at Merc Teams with a smile on his Face, since McLaren Honda is no Merc Team. Don't know, but to me it points to Macca.

Alonso ends his F-1 career ! He said several time that the Scuderia will be his last team. That's obvious.
