I watched the Rosberg quali lap yesterday, and the first half-lap was absolutely spectacular - combination of interesting track with a bit of gradient from T1-T11 and a car absolute nailed onto the road, it was actually quite fascinating to watch the Merc on rails through those curves. If only there were more moments like this - pure car speed on a dynamic track - and less of the clown circus, F1 would be closer what it was when I first started watching.

But Vettel has no wing at all on his car

Jesus Christ.
Vettel would have had the engine turned right down.

In Q3 Rosberg hit in his first run that orange " sleepin' policeman " that was placed overnight in turn 7 and even the team checked that left FW there are some concerns that there are cracks underneath it ...
Now bearing in mind that he couldn't change it due to the parc fermme rule and the fact that their FW wobbles a lot on this track there could be a wing change at the first stop or even before that had he runs into trouble soon after the race start ...
Someone said Rosberg will put something out of the bag in Q3 and that was it: he was superaggresive into the Backets style combination of corners and forced to run over that turn 7 and now faceing consecuences in the race ...

Btw. a lot of test are FIA doing after the qualy:

If he breaks his front wing on the outlap to the grid, can he change it then without repurcussions?
Thank you really doesn't really describe enough what I feel. - Vettel

Yes as long as it is the same spevification of part. This obviously does not apply to chassis, tyres, engines and gearbox though.

I was watching onboard for 3 laps & he took his hand off the wheel and placed it flat against the cockpit three laps in a row before I turned away. I presume hes still doing it now.
Maybe he was resting.
Look ma, one hand only :D

It looks a lot like what the McLaren drivers were doing when they had an F-Duct. Except, it's in corners.

What a lap from Rosberg, Hamilton looked like he was just cruising around all afternoon though which was strange. Maybe he knows something about the race that we don't...

Although the top 4 look set, I hope we get some intra-team battles all race long, will be fun to watch.

Lewis' breaks were glazed. Same problem as Nico had in the morning.

From what I read it's not as chilly as yesterday, it will be interesting to see what McLaren will do.

Vettel double pit stops. first for soft, then for med. what for? To get tire change out of the way? They expect to run the whole race on primes?
