Anyway, I'd have a hard time believing Saxo Bank can be taken seriously as a sponser since Santander surely will be coming in with Alonso [ they have been in all along though ]. So; 2 banks on 1 livery? Don't see that happening.
It'll be either Santander or Saxo Bank, and frankly, I don't think Saxo Bank remotely stands a chance versus Santander.

I neither am convinced Lego can have any serious ground in F1 as a sponser. Yes, to sell toys for small boys - but that's about it.

Ownership discussion definately will be going on behind the doors, yes.
A shock announcement from woking?

I can see a shock announcement; Ron Dennis parts with Mclaren after X years.
Also Saxo banks has ties with Lotus and Marco Sørensen
Santander never left Mclaren as sponsor so both banks have been sponsoring Mclaren this year, if rumours are true Moviestar or 02 (Telefonica ) is the mayor sponsor that Alonso will bring to Mclaren

Saxo bank sponsored mclaren this year?
can't seem to remember that,

http://www.mclaren.com/formula1/partners/

Mclaren themselves surely don't show them in their list,
so how did you come up that Saxo Bank sponsored MClaren this year?

And the silly season continues into December, Mclaren must be looking at a stocking filler before Xmas to cheer fans / sponsors up?

That was 2013? I believe Richard is trying to say over the many years (Kimi Raikkonen, Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and Button 2013) were all shown with a Tag watch on them clearly showing their face?

The driver announcement is not the hold up at Mclaren.

Who will be boss announcement is the hold up.

It seams Dennis is like an ex-wife who owns 25% of your business and promises the world but doesn't deliver.
When asked to leave and go back as a silent partner,he fights and claws like when your married but are not now.

It looks like he is using the relationship he has with the longtime shareholder to stay at the head of the ship. With him he has equal ownership(25+25) so Bahrain(50) can't get what they want.(Berger or Brawn)

Of all the valid criticisms you could have levelled at Dennis, THIS is what you come up with?

Forget who brought MClaren into the modern era? Or the most successful team principal in history?

What about the last time the kicked him out... remember Whitmarsh? The terrible 2012 season?

In sports, history doesn't matter. It is what have you done lately.

Dennis tried to take back his race team but to do that he had to give Whitmarsh a garden leave and promise the other shareholders that he was going to find a sponsor and funding to buy some of the team back from the other shareholders.
And he fail in both matters at the moment but is is still hitting the bushes looking for that miracle dollar.

So this is where Mclaren sits now......in a Mexican standoff with the shareholders.

All we are waiting for is who wins or backsdown first and it looks like Dennis isn't going to backdown.

Hopefully it doesn't last long or some important member might jump ship(Honda).

Driver lineup for Mclaren, more importantly Jenson Button's future to be decided after a board meeting this Thursday:

Speedweek reported what Sasha said:

"If we are to believe relevant stories, then Ron Dennis currently has to do more than ever: he will attempt to take a majority stake in McLaren. McLaren is currently owned 50 percent of the Mumtalakat Holding from Bahrain, the investment arm of the small Kingdom, 25 percent belong to the TAG group of Mansour Ojjeh, and another 25 percent are Ron Dennis.
There was talk that Dennis would take over 25 percent of the Bahraini shares and 12.5 percent of the shares of Ojjeh. He will stand at 62.5 percent and would have the final say. The problem for Ron Dennis is that McLaren is worth a lot, (+- $800 mil), and time is running out, because there appears to be a time limit for such switching of shares."

Go Ron !!!! Get back what was your's  AND get us back to our winning ways of the past :D

I think you are talking about the Mclaren Group so it won't change much really with Mclaren Racing. He is already the chaiman and ceo of the group and team principle of mclaren racing so his already well in charge. Buying more shares will just give him more "weight" over other share holders of the mclaren group - which i guess might be important with keeping himself in charge for the future.

I don't think it will have anything to do with the driver line up. The board meeting will be between him, Eric and Jonathan (i.e mclaren f1 board members)

you might be right and i might be wrong, but i would of thought it would be between the members of mclaren racing not the group?

i.e Eric Boullier, Jonathan Neale, Ron Dennis
