No more wild cards in 2015. Whatever you start your season with, you're stuck with.dans79 wrote:Javert wrote:Gearing will then ne crucial as it has to copie both with Old engine BHP and the new engine BHP (which we can assume to be bigger!
I assume the teams will take the gear change wild card at the same time they switch to the new engine spec, to cover this scenario.
Final drive gears are still freely changeable are they not?Juzh wrote:No more wild cards in 2015. The data (FPs, Qually and race) is still available at the F1 app as we speak. I don't know if I can still reach it when the new season starts.Blanchimont wrote:Thanks for screens, sectorone.
Does someone in this forum have the F1 app and knows if these data are (still) available for the qualifying sessions?
Renault & Ferrari are the ones who wanted to extend the cutoff date for the new engines, their hardly likely to waste the opportunity, they will start with 2014 spec as well.De Jokke wrote:Mercedes starting with the 2014 engine???
Are they nuts, giving away four wins just like that...
(because the renault and ferrari 2015 specs will be better, I assume.)
Odds are that Renault and Ferrari will start with their 2014 units as well. It was them, after all, that wanted this because they needed more time to develop their "current" engine.De Jokke wrote:Mercedes starting with the 2014 engine???

I don't think so. It will take more than just a better engine to beat Merc.De Jokke wrote:Did Ferrari and Renault confirm this?
If true, Honda has a real shot at winning the first gp.
Maybe a new design for Lewis then?LightningLewis wrote:Jason Fowler @JasonFowlerJLF 18 hours ago
@MercedesAMGF1 We're working on Lewis' 2015 helmet at the moment - watch this space!
Then someone asks if Jason could give a date and the replay is:

@MercedesAMGF1 There's filming being done on 29th so it'll be ready to unveil by then. Some late working nights first though!
So possible we wont see the W06 before the 29th!
