Rollie Free heading towards 150.3mph on a Vincent in 1948. Notice that the Speedo emphasizes ellipses. Completely nutters.

My understanding is that the positive angle of attack on the front wing was intended to force more air into the tunnels creating a net increase in downforce. It wasn't to "balance" the ground effects but to enhance it. During the CART era, Indycars running ovals had little more than flow conditioners instead of front wings whose purpose was to force more air into the tunnels.

despite it being an interesting machine,

let's keep it to real-life machinery and not 'fantasy' studies. Otherwise you can start including the delorean etc. aswell.
