My understanding is that the positive angle of attack on the front wing was intended to force more air into the tunnels creating a net increase in downforce. It wasn't to "balance" the ground effects but to enhance it. During the CART era, Indycars running ovals had little more than flow conditioners instead of front wings whose purpose was to force more air into the tunnels.Pierce89 wrote:Positive lift?
