Yes the Ferrari has louvers turning the airflow inside the rad duct and also these shutters on top of the rads to do the same. Clever!FrukostScones wrote:slightly better quality res:

That "bulk" on top of radiator suggests Ferrari are conservative with bodywork and instead wants more cooling. They could shrink bodywork and increase airflow to rear end of the car. Clever indeed!scarbs wrote:Yes the Ferrari has louvers turning the airflow inside the rad duct and also these shutters on top of the rads to do the same. The possibility exists that having less restricted internal flow has a net gain on aero performance, shrinking the bodywork might just introduce more drag. I'm sure the chaps with the CFD and wind tunnel data know what they are doing.Fer.Fan wrote:That "bulk" on top of radiator suggests Ferrari are conservative with bodywork and instead wants more cooling. There are good development steps to take for Ferrari throwout season.
It should give them more engine power when the car is moving fast. There will be a lower turbine exhaust pressure at speed with that gurney, hence greater pressure ratio across the turbine hence more power from the turbine.NutritionFact wrote:AlainProst wrote:What is this strange exhaust ??
Looks improved, maybe a blind spot in reg. ? They try to gain a little df with this "exhaust gurney"? Or just a cover, there are legs behind, the car still standing.
