Scuderia Ferrari SF15-T

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Yes. Also new are floor, diffuser and rear end plates.
The cheapest sort of pride is national pride, every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud adopts, as a last resource, pride in the nation to which he belongs; thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.

Nice. This coming from a Merc (More specifically, Lewis) fan. I hope they are much closer to Mercedes. I want a good fight. I am a sucker for radical designs.

I don't have CFD eyes, but it looks to me like the new side pod design has been introduced to encourage the air to flow down the sides of the side pods and into the coke bottle region. It will basically be accentuating the influence of the side sloping pods.

Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

New sidepod entry is so tight you can see the lateral crash structure.

Have thwy pushed sime internal parts more towards the centre as after the scalloped part on top of sidepods it goes very high, to me that part looks higher than before so they have not got smaller overall but the distributed the mass.

Is this to create a down wash at the back or more low pressure at a certain hight where the beam wing used to be to partly replicate the beam wing there and help the diffuser?

As far as I can tell, the coke bottle at the rear has not only been tightened slightly, the hot air exits have also been raised.

They now have 2 Slots in the RW Endplate just underneath the RW Main Plane, like McLaren.

Ferrari had two slots in pre-season testing, switched to a design with only one, and has now gone back to two. Didn't Red Bull introduce this concept os slots below the mainplane last year?

Yes RB had them for a few Races at the start of last Season and Ferrari tried it out last year too.
