This is one thing I hate to admit to. But yes you do have a point, the MSC days processions were a display of sheer on the edge piloting at neck breaking speeds. You were shivering in your loins just watching the cars navigate.Mandrake wrote:The first seasons I can partly remember are the 1994 / 1995 seasons. Is the date of registration tied into how long one has watched F1? Thats news to me!
Where did I say that I only watch the start and then head to the forums? (Other than for the Monaco race?) In general my interest has just faded with the last season and the biggest domination ever combined with super boring stuff happening around that I have experienced. Yes I know that in the 2000ers MSC domination was probably as big and that in the 70s and 80s there was utter domination as well. But guess what, there are videos of races on youtube and justin.tv which are even today with no relevance MUCH more interesting to watch than what we have in 2014/15. Even if MSC is driving away with 2s a lap, he does so in style and it sounds and looks baddass quick. Today, it doesn't
There's no doubt that cars nowadays are less spectacular to watch than in the early to mid 2000s. If I remember correctly, didn't Schumacher say his return in 2010 was partly due to that cars were slower and easier to handle than before his first retirement, so he thought he had a better chance of doing well?PlatinumZealot wrote:This is one thing I hate to admit to. Sadly there are little use of classic circuits where overtaking is possible.godlameroso wrote:Finally a circuit where you can overtake. I still remember 2011, some great racing here. There's almost always a safety car. Is Pirelli doing soft and super soft again?
Yes absolutely. He stated that the 2004 cars were too fast taking into account that he aged 40 when hi came back.Nathanael F1 wrote:

Don't be shocked to see Kimi.Youhavebeendunn wrote:Hahaha I would love to be a Marshall, sadly I'm just selling ice creamMoose wrote:I look forward to seeing you fall on your face in front of a car - twice!Youhavebeendunn wrote:I will be working at the race!
It's the right time to do it, the first engine has survived longer than it needed to. hopefully they saved a few tokens in case Ferrari introduces something later in the season.J0rd4n wrote:Looks like Merc will be the first to use tokens.

They said they weren't going to either.SilverArrow10 wrote:I thought Ferrari was bringing the upgrade to this race?
James Allen and Gazzetta say Ferrari will bring an upgrade; Gazzetta say it'll be worth as much as 30 hp.J0rd4n wrote:They said they weren't going to either.SilverArrow10 wrote:I thought Ferrari was bringing the upgrade to this race?
Well they've both said they are not going to use tokens, so it must be from reliability if there are going to be upgrades. I doubt they're going to find 30HP from this, what's the source for this?f1316 wrote:James Allen and Gazzetta say Ferrari will bring an upgrade; Gazzetta say it'll be worth as much as 30 hp.J0rd4n wrote:They said they weren't going to either.SilverArrow10 wrote:I thought Ferrari was bringing the upgrade to this race?
I can't believe that could possibly come through pure 'reliability' work - although Mercedes requiring an upgrade to improve their reliability seems tenuous to me.
