Gearbox apparently, according to Sky.
Any grid penalty for a gearbox change chances here for Seb? bad luck and bad management Ferrari #-o
Now lets talk about Mclaren-Honda. #-o #-o #-o #-o

Very few laps in this FP1.

Why are there so few pictures of the practice at Austria? Is there some kind of embargo?

Except McLaren is not fighting for podiums, and Ferrari is not on his very first year with a new motor :P

To me both are embarrasing

Actually the whole grid except Mercedes. It doesn´t look like Mercedes doing an asthonising job, but all the rest failing at some point. Mercedes is the only consistent team (some strategic mistakes apart), all the rest have serious problems here or there

You are spot on there. Everyone lays it on to Merc for being dominant, but it's hardly their fault the other teams/manufacturers have done such a poor job. Ferrari has really upped it's game this year, but everyone else is just looking foolish.

Is there something to do with the budget the other teams have at their disposal? is there some motivation issues or lack of know-how?

Come on, its usual to have some reliability problems, its has been part of the F1 during its history. For me it means that the teams are really pushing the boundaries.

But on the other and you are right, some teams are having too much problems(I wouldn't count Ferrari among those teams) and Mercedes is being annoyingly reliable. I like to see some failures because it also adds some extra emotion to the competition.

Look on the bright side: Jenson managed 30, not that bad compared to the competition.

Well looking at the times, it looks like we might have a race on our hands between Mercedes and Ferrari.

Have you been watching the times from the Williams? It could be a 3 horse race.

No, I haven't. Even better! I'd like to see both in the mix. I expected them to go well here like last year.

To sum it up, Massa is on 30+ lap old SS tires and dooing consistantly low 1:13, with the best lap of 1:12.2 on that stint. I am sure that someone will post all the lap times from this seson soon, I wont be at the computer to do that unfortunatly.
