Lewis should seriously consider asking the team to go back to the old clutch, he's had some disappointing starts since they've introduced it. Although I don't think he had an answer to Nico today had he got a good start.

Indeed. Pace was clearly lacking. The mistake in the pits made it worse but Seb could not follow the Mercs from the start on. And this on a track where traction isn't key.
Uphill he could barely keep up with Felipe despite being in slipstream.
So the disadvantage of the Ferrari compared to the Merc seems to be in all areas: PU, aerodynamics and traction.

Good to see ricciardo pull something out at the end to salvage a point. He must have been running on max power to catch Nasr. Raikkonen drops the ball yet again and takes alonso with him. Marinara shows some high speed drifting skills, least he has black overalls and won't be able to see the sh1t stain when he climbs out, that was epic.

What's your source for this?

En Mercedes han tenido q abrir la caja d cambios d Hamilton después d la quali para cambiar la sexta velocidad. Sin penalización.

It had to happen though. They were getting their pitstops perfect for most of the time and its a shame that they had to mess it up both times in a one stop race.

Vettel was actually closer to Massa than in any of the previous attempts and was able to follow him through the corners as well. He was pulling away just before Massa pitted as well.

- Raikkonen is a man of his word, he complained F1 is not dangerous enough and he made it dangerous with his awful driving, I applaud that, now all that is left is FIA pretending nothing happened
- The second most dominant win of the season (after Barcelona), LH messed up and there was no Ferrari to benefit, Vettel can't pass to save his life (this time Massa)
- I loved how Verstappen panicked after Maldo's attempt (nice control ;-)) and out-braked himself out of confusion, his excuses game is strong though (tyres and still within 1 s)
- Lotus completed their grand chelem of failure. Maybe next year will be better? Maybe they'll get more talented batch of interns?

Can drivers from the same team have diffent clutch (regulation wise) or do they have to have the same?
Lewis has just mentioned in the sky interview he's been having bad starts since spain.(and i think thats when they reverted back to last years specs.)

The second one wouldn't be true had the team not mucked up in Monaco. But of course you'd ignore that.

Although in General overtaking indeed doesn't appear to be his strength in this particular case it is not really a surprise. He was 2-3 tenth faster max, The Williams seemed to have more grunt. In F1 it is difficult to overtake someone who is 2s slower per lap if the defending car has sufficient straightline Speed/acceleration. Even Lewis who is usually quite good at overtaking had to experience this when he wasn't able to overtake Seb who was significantly slower over a lap yet had good top speed + traction earlier this season.

Exactly... Two weeks in a row :(

I think it's high time you stop being over optimistic about Ferrari. They are only going to disappoint you.
When every team progresses forward through the season, Ferrari loves going backward, at this pace we will see Williams team third and maybe Redbull/ lotus in fourth. Seb is not showing the hunger and Kimi only can explain his mental position now.

2nd 7th in a row!

a lot of good and clean overtakes by him today, overshadowed by the wicked one!
(remember ALO one drove into the car in front with his Ferrari trying to overtake from the slipstream once; this little open DRS to close DRS action RAW... )

on youtube ! can someone make a .gif ?

Rosberg's race pace has definitely improved since last year, all races have been much closer but I still don't think he has the balls to try and overtake Lewis on track, however this opens up more options for him on strategy and winning from pole.

Will he outpace Hamilton over the course of a season? Highly unlikely. Ignoring the Monaco race it's still 7-1 in qualifying and 5-2 in the races. Doubt we'll see reliability issues for Mercedes this season, but that could affect things now it's so close between them.

Going back to our argument yesterday about the Mercedes qualifying mode, today's top ten:

Mercedes
Mercedes
Mercedes
Ferrari
Mercedes
Mercedes
Mercedes
Renault
Mercedes
Renault

Yes, this was skewed by Kimi at the back and Vettel's wheel issue. But overall none of the Ferrari powered cars had the pace today. The Mercedes engine still has a clear advantage over the Ferrari in all conditions. Case closed.

I have to admit I am impressed by his last 2 races (Austria and Canada). It's good to see Lotus doing well. Even better to see Maldonado doing well :D

And the FIA say that no driver was at fault for the ALO/RAI incident with no further action to be taken against either driver
