Lewis just explained it for you - he lost temp and pressure in his tires.

When Lewis came into the pits I was thinking Hungary 2011 all over again, great call from Lewis and a fun race to watch.

In spite of the results, for me Massa is driver of the day. He drove like a champ.

British Grand Prix - full grandstands and an interesting race thanks to the weather. So Bernie, tell us why you keep selling races to countries where no one watches F1 and the grandstands are empty...and then people moan that F1 is dying

Holding his team mate up at the start?

Doubtful.

Hamilton also got lucky the extra rain came, Nico was all over him.

Yeah but look at Germany with empty Grand stands. Ones thing for sure, the British grand prix is going no where.

Williams did not tell Massa to move over (Thank God), but Bottas was given the green light to pass him and couldn't do it. After the first pit stop, Massa widened the gap. After the rain, Bottas fell back even further.

So what did Massa do wrong again?

Agreed he was holding Bottas up but it was up to Bottas to find a way past...what I want to know is what Bottas was thinking by going so wide and letting Lewis through in the opening lap. :?

Asserting that Hamilton got lucky with the rain I find very odd. Remember, Lewis was 8 seconds in front before the rain. The rain is exactly what caused Lewis to lose time to Nico. Yes, the timing of his pit stop was perfect, but don't let Nico being faster for 3 laps dominate the fact that Lewis was faster for 49.

It was a well deserved race for Lewis and I would like to see one of the Williams on the podium because they deserved it. In addition, I don't understand the comments about Massa letting Bottas to overtake. Aren't we the ones hating team orders saying drivers to let go each other. If Bottas was faster, he should have passed Massa but he wasn't much faster. The reason he was catching Massa was the huge help of the drs.
Sky Reporters to me aren't sincere anymore. When team orders happen, they began to talk how wrong it is. When williams didn't say Massa to let Bottas, this time they said that they should let Bottas overtake Massa.

Both Williams drivers drove superbly, let down by the team who were happy to just sit back and hold up Mercedes and react to what they did rather than dictating the strategy, just like Austria last year. Ferrari wouldn't have made that mistake and it makes you wonder if Williams can keep Bottas for 2016.

Lewis was incredibly lucky with the timing of the heavy shower today. As soon as Nico got some clean air, he was miles faster than Lewis. As far as I'm concerned, Monaco has been repaid.

Lewis was in front because he was able to undercut the Williams in the pit stops, Rosberg did not have that luxury. We also don't know Lewis was faster for "49" as well. They were never in clean air. In fact it was Massa, Bottas, Lewis and Rosberg train till the first stops. You simply can deduce who is faster when they are following each other stuck behind the Williams cars.
