I'm cursing myself for reading the result before watching the race in replay. I was thinking "hold on, we only have one lap to go and Marquez is nowhere in position to win that race, with Lorenzo having a gap."

Same here, I knew the result before watching, and watched the race with a friend who didn´t know it. It was tough to stop myself from telling him!

Last lap from Marquez was brutal. Awesome race

As to some who think it was the best Motogp race your not that far off
52 overtakes among the top four riders and 13 lead changes certainly qualifies it for the best ever
2006 Portuguese Grand Prix, is thought to be the best ever motogp race, My self included.
Not only was it the closest ever finish, its implications for that year's title race were profound

That was a tantalizing race wasn't it. I stayed up all night (and thru a boring moto2 race) for it, was well worth. Easily the best race i've seen since the aragon wsbk round a few years ago.

It is indeed true that Marquez did not play with both of us: he only played with me! It is important that he knows that I know! Now let's see what happens, but I am quite concerned because to have to fight with Lorenzo is one thing, but if you have to beat Marquez as well, everything becomes much more difficult, to be honest - the case is that he isn’t playing fair (something that a professional rider has to do in these situations)

Rossi only need two second places to win the championship, and the only reason for that is because Marquez passed Lorenzo in last lap of Philip Island. If he was really supporting Lorenzo he´d have stayed in a confortable second position instead of risking a crash pushing as hard as he did in the last lap (fastest lap of the weekend than any other rider)

I was supporting him for this title, but I don´t like this sort of things

Yep, kinda low thinking from rossi there. Notice how he dodges the question why marq passed lorenzo on the last lap if he wants him to win. It makes no sense and rossi maybe overdramatizing a bit.

Mick Doohan was interviewed before the race & just smiled when asked if the Honda boys could split the factory Yams..
When he was asked if he agreed that V.R. was GOAT, he wouldn't give his imprimatur there, either..

V.R. has to win the championship on his merits, & IMO, full credit is due if he does it.. & same for George..

Marquez is working on percentages. Highly likely that both he and Lorenzo will beat Rossi in one of the final two races, so he could afford to beat Lorenzo last race.

Plus, he is a racer so of course he went on to win the race - every racer wants to win.

If Marquez is a racer and wants to win, then he´s not supporting Lorenzo, he´s only trying to win as he has always done

If Rossi can´t beat neither of them that´s only his problem.

BTW, if he can´t beat them, he does not deserve the title, as simple as that

Brilliant start by George, after losing the sprint from the start to the Ducatis..
He took both Italian bikes, then commenced fast lapping to battle with his team mate, passing & being re-passed..
Then M-M gets invoved in a passing battle with Flossi, too.. coulud it be personal, after those comments?
