In all honesty, Rosberg deserved to win this race. He had every bit of advantage he had, first the 10s and then the better pit strategy, erased by the safety cars. He would not have won the championship, but we must remain fair and if he did not have bad luck would have won this race.
He didn't deserve to win for the sole fact that he ballsed it up near the end. It was somewhat of a rookie mistake. And we have seen him do it quite a few times when Hamilton applies the pressure. Canada, Monza, to name a few races where Nico either out braked himself or spun up his wheels.
You can't deserve a win if you beat yourself to the win.

It seems that fire lit up his rear tyres.

Last year Rosberg drove much better than this year, made many mistakes through the season. While Hamilton, was focused to win WDC, made mistakes too, but was able to recovery from them.
Rosberg can't blame Hamilton move on first lap, he had the victory on his hands and made a big mistake, that makes Hamilton WDC. I wish the next season to see a strong Rosberg, a strong Vettel, and a strong Ferrari, fighting with Hamilton on every race.

On italian television (RAI) Ivan Capelli said that when Rosberg did the mistake he shifted and went from 2nd to 4th gear and it could have been a technical problem. He said two times, also while looking at the replay, but I can't confirm if it's true or not.

I was surprised by Vettel's pace at the end, were Rosberg's tyre much older?
Just saw a replay, and he upshifts two gears out of T16. It dosn't look like a technical problem he just upshifts (you can see his hand moving) two times and the car spins..

That mistake by Rosberg was very weird. It looked similar to what Raikkonen did in Canada.

Everytime Hamilton makes a move on Rosberg, I see smiles on the faces of Lauda and Toto.
Rosberg has been unlucky in many ways, but the atmosphere since Spa 2014 sure doesn't help.
Thank you really doesn't really describe enough what I feel. - Vettel

Don't think Rosberg is driving much differently. Lewis fixed his qualifying and any hope of him winning the title ended there. Nico made big mistakes last year too, Canada, Italy, Belgium, Russia

Ricciardo on old inters was impressive. He quickly gapped both Mercs once he got out in front.

The Red Bull chassis is definitely competitive.

Vettel was there at the end as well. That surprised me. I am hoping Red Bull gets a better power unit it, whether it comes from Ferrari or Renault or Honda, I don't care, so we could possibly have 3 different constructors with a shot at winning next season. That might be wishful thinking, but it would be good for F1.

The way RBR has been talking, it seems like Renault may be what ends up in the back of their car next season, even after all that has gone on. It might be the best option for both sides...if Renault come back as constructors and they are not competitive, they have no where to look but in the mirror. Fascinating situation, hopefully its sorted soon. I want there to be as many competitive teams as possible.

I feel for Rosberg, though.

Hamilton deserves the title, but man, it must suck to be ROS right now.
I feel for him too but he tossed the win away. Just like his cap. He knows he cannot blame anyone else. He got the best strategy too.

I hear people talking about how hamilton was lucky.. I dont really subscribe to luck and who got it and who did bot for this race because all the moves were done on the track. The only person who got a better opportunity than his teammate was Rosberg with that second stop for softs and he did actusly earn it too. he made use of it and then he threw it all away.
I completely agree with you Hamilton had a difficult race and probably with Vettel and Ferrari catching up and Rosberg putting up a strong fight the championship would probably be up for grabs if Ross had won. But he messed up and he went wide and it slipped from his fingers.

Lewis had a difficult race how ever Lewis simply raced on and put his best effort forward. Even the RedBulls had a shot at him but they too let it slip. Vettel raced very solid very technical and just down the line text book precision racing. He drove like what he is a champion thanks to this despite all the same difficulties he finished in the podium along with Lewis. They all had a struggle this race was for sure something of a fight with the conditions in the track but Rosberg and nobody else let the win slip. He had been driving great this race was very difficult and it all goes back to Ross letting it slip....

That is the thing. This shows that both Lauda and Toto are not impartial towards both drivers.
