Other than years with major rule changes, when have we seen a team find a second or more?
2014-2015 Ferrari
And you have to compare Kimi to Kimi, because you cant compare Vettel to Alonso.

When reading people saying McLaren/Honda can´t improve enough this winter to fight Ferrari I always wonder if they realiced Honda has had tied hands this season with the problems they know since pre-season. It´s been a manufacturer nighmare, make a huge mistake and be forced to live with it the whole season

Finding 1 second or more in winter has always been almost imposible, right, but how many seasons we´ve seen with frozen/limited areas of the car that they can´t develop during the season but they can in winter? 2014-15 for example, and Ferrari found more than a full second. And their problems were absurd compared to those Honda is suffering, so McHonda can improve a lot more than a second

This said, they need to improve at least 2 seconds to fight Ferrari (add to that Ferrari improvement for 2016) so it´s not going to be easy at all. But doable I think.

About AD, more problems for Sainz. He´s always been very very polite with his numerous car problems this season, but this time he prefered to not talk at all. A first for him. He must be so frustrated...

Marc Gene said they´re surprised about their own pace in the long runs, so we´ll see if Ferrari can make this last race a bit more interesting

Vettel wasn't far off Hamilton's pace at one point. However, Rosberg suggested that Hamilton had some pace to spare so maybe Mercedes were sandbagging a little. We'll know soon enough...

They seem to have made another big step whit their chassis here in AD
There is literally nothing I can see for them to be worried about with the position McLaren are in. There is no way they're gonna close the gap to Ferrari in one season. You're being far too optimistic.
Does anyone else remember Ferrari's mesmerizing pace at Abu Dhabi 2014? Now compare that pace to Malaysia 2015. Believe it or not, that was only 2 races later.

There is literally absolutely no way we know competitive McLaren Honda will be in 2016. They could be as crap as they are this year, or they could be up there with Mercedes.

This is Formula 1, we are talking about some of the brightest engineers on the planet. Let's not even pretend as if we know what is possible and what isn't.

To be honest, no? They qualified 7th/8th and finished 9th/10th but maybe I am forgetting about what happened in the race? I remember Alonso hit that bump hard and his G-Force light came on..

edit: Sorry, I misread your post!

They were 2 seconds off from pole, 3 seconds off race pace and finished a minute and a half behind the winner.

Force India looking strong.
To me Ferrari looks a bit unsettled, the rear seems quite loose and especially Vettel seem to lack confidence. I think they'll need to work hard to finish 3rd and 4th on Sunday.

I think it's not that critical for them. They should be fine. They arent that far even from Hamilton. immediately on his first run he put, what about 3 tenths slower time?(super soft) That's not that bad for them

Rosberg suppousedly with less power this weekend.
Appreciate, if the experts can shed some light on this matter.

Engine No. 3 - Suffered a leaking in water cooling system, in Monza.
Engine No. 4 - Was used by Rosberg, starting from Monza.

Is it true that Rosberg has been using Engine No. 4 since Monza, till now? I thought that Engine No. 3 can be used without any problem in Free Practice in subsequent races, they will use Engine No. 3 in actual race.

What is the status of Engine No. 3? Is Rosberg still using Engine No. 4 in Abu Dhabi qualifying and race?

Thanks for the information.

Rosberg is an idiot, he is showing his opponent exactly where he has improved and by how much, when he should be hiding it.
