Right, and looks like it'll be a shakedown too. Kinda surprised more teams don't use the filming days like this - seems to allow Mercedes to hit the ground running in testing.

Some teams barely make the Tests but I can see how this would be a good idea for all the Works teams'.

He's talking about packaging here because there is no way Mercedes would give him a power figure this early. He would have surely gotten the CAD drawings of the extents of the engine though.

No, he isn't talking about package in the sense of the dimensions of the power unit.

He is talking about a bundle (package) of competitive factors, that will benefit the team. Basically a set of features that Mercedes offers for Force India to go racing. It includes all aspects of the PU.

I haven't heard or read anything about the new car passing the crash test. I hope they have managed that as most teams have now.
