McLaren MP4-31 Honda

Not the clearest photo but some lovely detail here, especially around the nose and wing...

reports from the track says its by far the loudest engine,it did around 30 laps and its faster than fastest 2015 Mclaren time.

Cooling exits look on par with the other Teams. Also definitely no more Spine Coolers.

Yes, but with that small honda engine their airbox cover should be much smaller. Even the mercedes with the huge engine intake plenum have a smaller outside surface.

Wish one didn't need a subscription on Autosport to read Craig's Tech analysis on the cars...

Maybe is something to do with the cooling solutions implemented by Honda compared to the AMG

Guys, what are your thoughts about MP4-31's rear? Is it more 'fat' that MP-30's?

I have to say I quite love the nose design. It seems very detailed.

Guess I got struck again by you :P. Here is that post:

Looks like a slight evolution which means they believe their Concept is Sound. I'm a bit dissapointed though that after the FW38 we have the next Car with hardly any visible Changes. Well maybe these Photos are Fake and Ron is just laughing at us right now.

The RW Endplate looks interesting though, hope we get some better Shots.

Also is it just a reflexion or do the FW Pylons have a Slot now?

Looks like a method to either divert even more airflow underneath the nose, or to keep airflow more attached to the front wing pylons, which do act as turning vanes and flow straighteners.

Simply beautiful, along with the rear wing as well. What I would give to see a cfd analysis of that

Reports Sky Sports News HQ's Rachel Brookes: "Just spoke to Eric Boullier & he told me his first impression of the new McLaren is "not good enough" after suffering a few issues this morning. He did follow up with it is just testing.
