Button 1.2 sec away from Rosberg with the same tires, not bad, almost gives me hope for the year.

All the talk about tyres allocation, both Ferraris used 2 Mediums today (giving back one to Pirelli in FP1), they have just one set of used Mediums more than Mercedes. Why should armchair technical directors like us be so smart and quick to judge strategies, when the teams themselves have years of experience? As a result, Ferrari and Mercedes are nearly on the same strategy

Encouraging stuff from Button/Mcl there. Stoffel basically driving along the middle of the track, must be on purpose to leave that much margin.

Haas (mostly Grosjean) are having lock ups in turns 1 and 10 almost every lap.

Two friends of a friend of mine have sky (with the F1/sports pack) ... he has access to both so he asked one of them and then gave me the login.

You can use sky go on up to 4 devices (phone/computer) but only on one at a time (although you can watch normal sky and skygo simultaneously). You can also reset the list with devices but only once every few months. If someone is already logged in you get the info and can chose to either log out or throw them out

Since they can't prove it's not the account's owner who is just visiting someone and wants to watch sky it's all perfectly legal (at least in germany).

Looks like the target race time is going to be ~1:38-37 it's much faster than I anticipated. We're already 1.5 seconds faster than last year's pole, hell they were .5 seconds faster than last year's pole on the same tires and it's only practice. I'm guessing fastest race lap is going to be ~1:35, or high 34's.

How did Lewis do compared to Nico? I'm at work so was stuck with the Autosport feed, and it sounded like Lewis was struggling with set-up?

Lewis was down by two tenths on both tyres.

What's the penalty for ̶e̶̶l̶̶e̶̶c̶̶t̶̶r̶̶o̶̶n̶̶i̶̶c̶̶ ̶̶i̶̶s̶̶s̶̶u̶̶e̶̶s̶ a loose nut? Is it a 5 place grid drop?

highly doubt it when the nut or wheel didnt come off... he pulled over and said he thought it was loose.

lol after 2 practices you know what the race will be like? remember all the times Ferrari topped P1 P 2 and P3 and ended up starting 5th? i bit premature i think

That's not funny, or something to joke about!
in what way?

ROS has the race in the bag if nothing happens...

c'mon, not like KABOOM!
but like some front wing tyre slitting sheningans, like this but with contact:

also impressive what McLaren can do with a fully charged battery.
