Lewis Hamilton has been given a reprimand for his pitlane incident during qualifying for the Bahrain Grand Prix.
The Mercedes driver, who beat teammate Nico Rosberg to secure his 51st F1 pole position, was under investigation for having reversed in the pitlane at the end of Q3, in a breach of Article 28.3 of the sporting rules.
The stewards, however, deemed no penalty was necessary and the Briton will keep his pole position.
"A reprimand has been imposed on the driver due to the fact that no clear instruction was given to the driver on where he should park the car after qualifying," said the stewards.
It is Hamilton's first reprimand of the year.

Just put some effort in arguments, You and everyone which shares your opinion:giantfan10 wrote: i dont think anyone is surprised... check your link address it is dead
Hamilton should play the lotto numbers today lol all 4 wheels off track...time allowed... back up in pit lane when it is a rule violation... tell the steward you didnt know where to park and get a reprimand and all is well
what are you talking about? what arguement exactly? i made absolutely no arguement about hamilton i made a weak joke about him buying a lottery ticket and said in an earlier post that nothing would happen because he backed up in the pit lane.diego.liv wrote:Just put some effort in arguments, You and everyone which shares your opinion:giantfan10 wrote: i dont think anyone is surprised... check your link address it is dead

it's not important to just yell 'hey, hamilton was out of track'..i'm on your side, but the point of the scandal is that, even though hamilton gained no advantage compared to a regular lap, the fact is that he couldn't finish the lap regularly, hence he would have needed another run..so where does hamilton stands with his tyre allocation?
Don't just banish hamilton/other teams just for the sake of it.
Even a reprimand is srupid, let's not praise a strict use of the regulation, the reverse move was nothing serious/dangerous, please
and Magnussen get put at the back of the grid for missing the weight bridge during practice, and being underweight during practice wouldn't even result in a penaltydiego.liv wrote:Just put some effort in arguments, You and everyone which shares your opinion:giantfan10 wrote: i dont think anyone is surprised... check your link address it is dead

why do they even bother with the weigh bridge in practice?, apart from the tires and engine allocation afaiu there's noDiesel wrote:1. Hamilton did not gain anything from leaving the circuit, infant he lost time. The rule is quite clear about gaining an advantage IMO.
2. He was reprimanded though? Are we saying he should have been DQed? That's a little over the top, and just makes F1 look even more sillier than it currently looks.
3. I agree that missing the weigh bridge in practice and getting punished in qualifying is a little unfair, but how else are they meant to punish that scenario? If they didn't enforce a grid drop, nobody would ever bother with the weigh bridge in practice.
Interesting that the supersoft is just as durable as the soft. And the two stopper going to SS the medium looks like a very good defensive strategy. One of the Mercedes could use it.iotar__ wrote:Pirelli:
"- A three-stop strategy is theoretically quickest for the 57-lap race: start on supersoft, change to soft on lap 14, soft again on lap 29 and soft again on lap 43.
- If a driver has enough new supersofts available (around a second per lap faster than the soft) another effective strategy would be: start on supersoft, then change to supersoft again on laps 12 and 27, then a final stint on soft from lap 42.
- The fastest two-stopper would be start on supersoft, medium on lap 12, then soft from lap 37. However, this carries a significant pace disadvantage."

No SS - S-S, I somehow got stuck on two stops on softer tyres. Shows what I knew , even though they sometimes overestimate number of stops. At least medium part was somehow closer to reality.
Nicole Scherzinger probably still has one.DiogoBrand wrote:Is there a video of Hamilton's pole somewhere?
