A certain Pastor Maldonado won the Spanish Grand Prix as well.

Bunch of mediocrity leading and Hamilton ruining Rosberg's win. If you expected exciting racing - you should know better:
- Ricciardo - losing Barcelona from the lead - quite an achievement. Anyone still thinks he's a top driver? Plus trade mark: dive, outbrake yourself & collision attempt.
- Verstappen - drove in circles at his own pace, "option" strategy worked and he had a driver behind in a (slightly) quicker Ferrari that should not be in F1. Yesterday losing fifth-eighth places in Toro Ross and now suddenly leading races. A miracle transition of F1 A.D '16 - the blind leading the lame.

Now that we had both mercs out the race was still pretty dull because of a track that's almost impossible to overtake on...

Max did a good job though, no mistakes when under pressure from Kimi, mature driving indeed and well deserved first win!
The traction Red Bull had out of the last turn was insane

So weird to hear 'Wilhelmus' at the ceremony!

The Netherlands are gonna explode...

Indeed. Amazingly mature drive making the tyres last so long with a Kimi in his neck all the time.
Ricciardo and Vettel both suffered somewhat from the strategy to cover each other.
Great race, interesting strategy games.
Today one could get a glance how nice F1 would be without Merc.

He would have finished ahead of Ric, even without the tire failure. And with the other two guys not making their tires work to the end it would have been a win. With only staying behind the RedBulls until the end it would have been P3 or P4 for sure....

Generally I don't care about what people say. I have to be clear with myself. When everything goes well, people celebrate you, when you make mistakes people criticize you.

I totally agree. The race was boring as hell. The only exciting part is Max winning it!

Dive bomb Ricciardo almost took Vettel out twice in the race. If another Red bull took out a Ferrari again, it would have been fireworks.

Wrong. It was great with lap after lap of will he/won't he. First Kimi on Max, then Dan on Seb. It's not about lots of overtaking, it's about chances to overtake. This thing about needing to see lots of overtaking is why the FIA/FOM keep messing with rules and making a mess of it.

Of course, the dicing between the Ferraris and RedBulls would still have happened if Mercedes were on track, it would just have been for third place.

One of the cleanest shot. Look at Lewis' steering and he is ready to go left, but Nico kept closing the door, despite having Lewis almost next to him. Nico had poor pace out of that turn and Lewis came blazing in. Clearly, Nico's fault.

We do not know that as Ferrari for sure would have used a different strategy also. Red Bull was spot on to split the strategies. It left Vettel in a "choosing is loosing" situation.
Indeed, for RBR as a team, it was the correct call. But for RIC it was not.

However, his last desperate gambit on VET was boneheaded. He can thank the stars it didn't backfire worse than it did.

Stopping Vettel just 1 lap after Kimi was one of the dumbest things i've ever seen.

And in fact not giving Kimi a bigger tire offset over Verstappen was pretty dumb already.
