Physically impossible. That goes for every single driver that has ever existed.
I am not sure what is physically impossible means. But my reference is, when you look at all those poles that Lewis got against Nico, IF it wasn't for Lewis, we would have all believed that Nico's laps WERE THE MAXIMUM that those cars would have done. Which fortunately, wasn't true. Similarly, when you see Alonso out qualifying Jenson most of the times, IF it wasn't for Alonso, we would have felt Jenson's times were maximum.
So, it is natural that some of the fastest drivers on the grid, could take the cars a couple of tenths faster than most others. Where Vettel has a history of struggling in average cars, Lewis and Alonso have proved to get the best available out of their cars compared to their team mate, even when the cars were difficult to drive. So, it is with this logic that I would say Alonso would have done better than Kimi in the same car (there is a proof of that for a full year of 2014 with 16 to 3 in Alonso's favor and in 2015, it was 15 to 4 in Vettel's favor). Would Alonso do any better than Lewis, in qualifying? Based on 2007, I don't think so.
SF16-H is a difficult car and it shows with Vettel struggling (trying to overdrive) to handle it.
I wish it rains for the race. [-o<
