I think it is down to breaking. Not breaks breaking, but breaking into slow corners. This is also why Ros has an edge on Ham on this track.sprint car76 wrote:How about those Haas cars. Seemed to have found some speed. Now can they keep it up in the race?
Vettel was being faster but he made a mistake in the last lap. Anyway Kimi´s performance is(and has been) great. This is the real Kimi.iotar__ wrote:Rosberg's quicker again = driver's circuit, that's Suzuka x3, must be luck. Let's hope they both have a great start, as Hamilton put it we wouldn't want bad starts deciding the championship . Why not BTW?
Grosjean - driver's circuit, 8th and in front of one quicker Force India, same time as the other, that's why it should be 1. Gros, 2. Bott, 3. Per for best cars choices
Vettel - slower than 37 year old Raikkonen, which means Ferrari were quite close to Merc. 3 places = another wasted GP.
They looked very good but as far as I know RB has a better race pace.Sevach wrote:That was close, Lewis woke up in Q3 but Rosberg still made it.
Ferrari seems very good through the esses didn't expect that.
This is basically the question I've been looking for answers on: how did Ferrari's race pace look in Q2?Vasconia wrote:They looked very good but as far as I know RB has a better race pace.Sevach wrote:That was close, Lewis woke up in Q3 but Rosberg still made it.

On the other and, race pace between Nico and Lewis is pretty similar but Nico has a bigger degradation which makes Lewis faster in the last laps of each stint. The race could be decided in those laps.
Have we real chances for a wet race? becase it was going to rain but...
Vettel lost nothing more than a tenth with that mistake, If anything Raikkonen could have been even faster but had understeer, he has been complaining about understeer the whole weekend and wanted to increase front tyre pressure after Q2 and still had some understeer in his final lap, while Vettel is happy with his setup and balance.Vasconia wrote:Vettel was being faster but he made a mistake in the last lap. Just because something is not transmitted on the radio does not mean in wasn't said. Personally I think vettel and raikkonen have been pretty much identical this weekend so far.Silent Storm wrote:Vettel lost nothing more than a tenth with that mistake, If anything Raikkonen could have been even faster but had understeer, he has been complaining about understeer the whole weekend and wanted to increase front tyre pressure after Q2 and still had some understeer in his final lap, while Vettel is happy with his setup and balance.Vasconia wrote:Vettel was being faster but he made a mistake in the last lap. Given the state of the championship, if Hamilton doesn't lead out of the first corner then I would be saddened but not surprised to see a repeat of Senna/Prost. Both great World Champions. Both did what they needed to do to win. When was the last time the Mercs managed to pass each other (or, often, other competitive cars) without pieces flying off. Grid/race penalties would be effectively pointless at that stage so there just isn't a downside.Schuttelberg wrote:I'd dearly love the Mercs to take one another out. The rest of the field is tight!! A wet race will be boring with the Mercs in it. Hamilton will eat Rosberg alive, while on SnapChat!
Undercut will more than make up for it.Vasconia wrote:On the other and, race pace between Nico and Lewis is pretty similar but Nico has a bigger degradation which makes Lewis faster in the last laps of each stint. The race could be decided in those laps.

Pedro de la Rosa said On his analysis that Ferrari´s pace was a little bit worse than RB´s pace. So Kimi needs to stay ahead of them after the first lap. And Sebastian will need to make a great start and a different strategy, if not I see it difficult to end the race ahead of RB.f1316 wrote:This is basically the question I've been looking for answers on: how did Ferrari's race pace look in Q2?Vasconia wrote:They looked very good but as far as I know RB has a better race pace.Sevach wrote:That was close, Lewis woke up in Q3 but Rosberg still made it.

Saw a lot about RB's being good but Ferrari's not mentioned. I guess that means it wasn't great - and of course Kimi was saying balance not good on Friday, so maybe it's changed - but can't find it anywhere for the life of me.
Yes, well perhaps Sebastian was slightly faster but the difference was almost inexistent.Juzh wrote:Just because something is not transmitted on the radio does not mean in wasn't said.
