Exactly and it's not priority because Rosberg is leading WDC but to prevent stupidity against team's interest, to prevent adding pointless variables to the race/strategy.

This pushing back tactic is as of now in urban legend territory. Most likely it's not going to work, you're losing advantage (seconds), it assumes pace advantage on every tyre/stint, even if you are quicker you need to push later, random events can happen (SC), works only in pitstop window, it's a distraction, if track allows overtake can happen later etc.

The only one that is worse is "save fuel to attack on the last lap" tactic - this one doesn't exists even in theory ;-) Rosberg got it several times.

I didn't notice Hamilton being already in front :wtf: .
Yeah right. How can we assume Mercedes would let this happen? :wtf:

Absolutely right. Just like Nico has been getting. For Ex:Malaysia.

Or, you know: he has not and just lucked out on the balance of failures, while performing well enough to stay within range to capitalize on Hamilton's issues and mistakes.

But hey, that might just be a conspiracy theory.

Well ofc is risky! What are we talking about otherwise?? Lewis needs external help since he can't win the championship with Mercs 1&2s. I recall him telling "I can't care about Nico's race, I'm focused on mine", truth or not the whole comment , that's the safest strategy for him. So iotar IF Lewis is in front
-Mercs advantage can help him avoid undercut by non-Merc
-fair or not, he would be playing with Nico's ability/actual chance to overtake him on track, Merc can't simply pit Nico after few laps because of Lewis' behaviour
-apart from Hungary 15 with Mercs on different strategies, in another occasion IIRC Nico was asking the pitwall to tell to push more (because of Ferraris maybe)

Because the anxiety of being near to achieve your life´s biggest purpose is something that doesnt happen...

Again, ask Lewis if it doesnt happen, 2007 and 2008 are not that far.

I think he's doing a pretty good job keeping the pressure at bay. He's seems to be practising some serious mental discipline, repeating the mantra about focusing on one weekend at a time. This is not just a line for the press.

Yes, it does look like Nico has tamed his mental beast in terms of pressure/nerves. If he could just tame is inclination to do silly things during pressure overtakes, he'd probably set himself up for another championship win.

 won't happen, he will continue doing sill things. (the little angstbeisser)

I think he has a run because he is thinking that he is having a run.

If that bubble busts he is done.

I wish him well.

No press conference yet? I'm curious if Lewis brings his ipad.

That's tomorrow, think more or less Canadian GP time slots. Mexico has the same time slot, and I believe the Brazilian GP is a bit earlier.

Hello all,
My first overseas race and my first f1 race is this weekend! It's long overdue, perhaps by 15 years...
Has anyone any suggestions or advice for f1 activities at the track and also in particular in Austin e.g evening events downtown?
Cheers!
A
