I didn't see what happened to Gutierrez, all I saw was him throwing his racing gloves with venom in his garage part way through the race

Something faster than we have now but still slower than an F1 car. Something that can help with the removal of water.
Something like the RB-Aston or the Merc F1 roadcar?
just skip the safety car and tell the leading car what pace to keep

Apparently problem with ERS during whole race. (Ted's notebook source)

I wonder how much is tires and how much is the current cars, the worlds best tires aren't much help
is the ride height is such that the car becomes a boat every time there's a puddle

wet weather has always shown what drivers can really do. whether or not its a mix of fresh tires and the redbull chassis and aero. the way Max bleeds the brakes entering a corner is very hamilton-esque.

as amazing as some of the passes were, i was more amazed how he was able to bleed the brakes in the wet without locking up on entry thereby braking later, then getting on the throttle at mid turn and exit where his car has had more change in movement than the car next to him.

He has now won at more different tracks than any other driver - 24 different tracks.

That would be the virtual safety car then...

Seems like he has listened to the criticism the last races. Or does it just seem that way since he didn't have to defend himself today?
He really was flying out there, so close to crashing out quite a few times but didn't. Amazing performance indeed =D>

That's it.. I am a big Verstappen fan now.. Great stuff! the last time I saw driving like this was Lewis Hamilton in the Red Bull days. He is the real deal. Kid is fearless.
Loved when he schooled Vettel and Rosberg.

Lewis though.. Boring "easy" drive according to him but he was untochable in the wet. He didn't poot a foot wrong while others were sliding all over the place, even when mad Max was on the chase, Lewis easily pulled out a gap. Astonishing. And it was great that he finally won Brazil. He may lose this WDC yet, but looking at the bigger picture his stats are right up there now. At this rate he should be leading in poles by next year. Such an honour to witnessing this legend in the making.

Shout out to Sergio Perez, Carlos Sainz, Nasr and the Hulk. Great drive!

He's talking about this season, not 2008...

I dunno. It is a educated guess to how much aquaplaning there will be with the bigger tyres. One school of thought say that bigger tyres are like bigger balloons carrying the same weight, which means less contact pressure, which means more chances for the car to be lifted off the ground. The second theory is that bigger contact patch means that the tyre can still make contact with some ground even when one half is in a river. But anways, the cars may have nearly 50% more downforce so maybe it won't matter.

- So was Rosberg once and no one fainted ;-) Different reactions to the same event are symptomatic,
. Very nice drive but overtaking cars +2 s slower in no grip wet (Merc and RB in the different league) doesn't deserve this overreaction, "schooled" - hardly, not after the spin when Rosberg was avoiding any wheel-to wheel. Pitting for intermediates and SC affected the race in different direction.
- Ferrari (car) surprisingly slow.
