Just seen the Kimi incident.
A normal off doesn't include the back end overtaking the front end.

Ferrari did the same (I don't remember if it was 2014 or 2015), but she was on the balcony on top of Mercedes garageMr.G wrote:Are they woried, or just checking the competition?ollandos wrote:https://twitter.com/piusgasso/status/839466730292412417

But I do know the difference. These cars were meant to be the fastest cars ever despite running Pirelli's, despite being heavier, despite whatever reason you're going to give next.GPR-A wrote:I don't think you understand the difference between Bridstone tires and Pirelli either. It's not a negative statement. The big difference between testing and race is weather. Cars get slower in summer. Just to inform, last year Mercedes was faster in qualifying than in winter testing,, considering weather impact. They sandbagged. So there is every reason to believe they are doing same now. What you see is not what the are capable of, it's far from it.
Your perplexed. I bet Ferrari and petrified.ripper wrote:HAM did 20 laps on UltraSoft on 1:23 - 1:24, only 1 second degradation
I'm perplexed
Once again misinformed. FIA or FOM, never said they are changing the regulations to make the cars BECOME THE FASTEST EVER. The only objective is to make them go faster by 3 - 5 seconds. That was their simulation results, based on the changes they mandated for new cars.Wass85 wrote:But I do know the difference. Sorry Wass85, have to pick you up on this again. Where did you read that "these cars were meant to be the fastest cars ever"?? I'm curiousWass85 wrote:But I do know the difference. That run from Hamilton raises many questions! I've seen so many comments in the past two days that drivers couldn't seem get the US to last an entire lap, for Hamilton to do a 20 lap run with so little deg is quite amazing.AMG.Tzan wrote:20 laps on Ultras for Hamilton in a tire hungry circuit! I really feel those Hards are never going to be used this year...even the mediums! Maybe Pirelli took more in consideration predicted lap times at the end of the year! So by the last quarter of the championship we may see a lot more degradation because of cars getting a lot faster!
