Toro Rosso STR12 Renault

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

At the spanish TV they said they´re testing a double T-wing wich purpose is to create some DF at low speed, and stalling the RW at high speed

Such a low level of discussion

Agreed. Arguing about whether a piece of carbon fibre is sanded or polished is totally irrelevant to the topic. As a result, a number of posts have been removed. Please try to post on topic.

Very Creative use of the t-wing!
I wonder if Redbull is already doing this?

Given the amount they flap around with vibration I think you'd have to be very careful trying to make a t-wing stall the main rear, you'd have massive attachment/reattachment issues.
I still think that they're purely free downforce for very little extra drag.

With the down angle of the hoop t-wing, is it possibly relaminating the air stream, and blowing the underside of the rear wing with super clean air? It looks like a laminar nozzle shape to me..

Looks like it is just conditioning the air from the engine cover to the rear wing that one, yes.
