And having his teammate give up the win for him, It's been the Ferrari way.
OK, produce me the list from those 91 wins where he was handed the win by his teammate. I bet you will have trouble naming more than three.
One would be considered one too many when not wearing the rose colored glasses.
It still hurts?

The 'red baron' is/was a living god behind the wheels, get over it.

OT:

Quali
1- Hamilton
2- Raikkonen
3- Vettel
4- Verstappen
5- Ricciardo
6- Bottas
..
10- Alonso [-o<

So Mercedes ,with the new 4th engine homologated in Spa, will not have the oil limitation, because it will be only from Monza.
Now it's pretty clear how Oil use is important for MERC.

Does the same happen for Ferrari when they will introduce a new Ice with the same specs as those used by hass from this weekend?

Can they go flat through Pouhon?
I haven't seen FP1 coverage yet , so somebody tell me if anyone did it.
No.

Thanks, Juzh and Vanja for reply. Yeah, just a tiny lift on throttle. Maybe they could do flat during qualifying (if it won't rain)

Ya, but i don't think the Haas spec 4 counts. Anyway Ferrari has time before Monza to do the same...

Wow I underestimated ultimate pace yet again, I was expecting a 43 for pole, but it seems someone may be able to do a mid to high 42, if it stays dry of course.
You're doing a lot better than I. I thought it would have been a low 45s for pole.
Shame we won't get to see it as it will be wet, from all accounts.

It actually looks set to be dry, though cloudy...

there is no time for ferrari now, they have missed the chance
any engine after this week's race is limited by 0.9 lit use
That is why Merc introduced it this early

I did wonder why mercedes did this because their 3rd spec has only done 2 races (Silverstone, Hungary) and their previous engine did 5 races. I think they might switch back to that 3rd spec for Saturday and Sunday and use the 4th when it was originally planned before the oil situation, although they might have already made the switch back between FP1 and 2.

Some conclusions after FP2:
Vettel race sim laps : 1:49.5 (on average) ; qualy lap 1:45,235 so delta is ~ 4,5 sec
Lewis race sim laps on average at 1:50.5 and his qualy lap was 1:44:753 hence delta is ~5,5 sec
So Vettel being at least 1 sec. faster in race sim trim and also having a smaller delta could we think he is preparing for a 2 stops race and Lewis just for an 1 stop race hence why they tested more on the soft tyre?

It's always the same story, Merc will find that 0.5 at least for the quali, but it looks like a big gap in the race sim....
We'll see if they are hiding more time...

Mercedes is quite impressive in the fast sector (1 and 3), with their top speed and braking stability like in Baku where they gained everything in the last sector. I'm afraid of the result if they turn up the engine in qualy despite their inferiority in the middle sector.

Just to add the full tyre data. Note that Palmer did not set his time on Supersofts, as Juzh's post suggests, but that Haas did not run Ultras.
