Do you ever have anything but codswallop to post?

Kimi messed up his lap and if then he provides a tow to aid Seb, it's good team work and part of his job.

If there is any truth to this 'Kimi is a number 2' BS, Kimi himself is to blame. He's been utterly trumped by Seb for the 3rd year running and dare I say, Seb has even earned the right to be number 1. However, I'm sure there is no such no.1 and no.2 nonsense.

Kimi has been the faster driver all weekend, but when push came to shove, he blew it as he so often has in his Ferrari career.

For all those who believe this conspiracy crap and pretend like Kimi is being wronged, he just renewed again for Ferrari. So, he either accepts his place or there is no such hierarchy which I believe is the case.

Bottom line is that Sebastian Vettel is by far the better driver.
I agree it doesn't look like Ferrari sent Kimi out with the purpose of giving Vettel a tow (if anything Kimi was looking like the better bet for a Ferrari in the front row), Kimi's own mistake set up that chance.

That's a result I didn't expect, Bottas underperformed a bit, so did Raikkonen when it really was important. Verstappen excellent driving!

Tow surely helped the german.
Ferrari had their number two driver do whatever was needed to get their number one driver up in the front row. Vettel has been slower than Kimi all weekend, they had to do something.

Verstappen has been destroying Ricciardo in quali this year.
Soon time for Ricciardo to hand in his elite driver card. Down into the tier two group you go Danny!

Tyre's natural frequency matched with that of the car and the whole thing started resonating? Happend to a few cars this weekend, always on the exit of Bus-stop... Maybe full throttle over the exit curbs causes the initial oscillation...

And they call it a stall. A STALL!

It doesn't look good for the car... strange..
could there be any correlation to kers harvesting?

Anyhow im hoping that Bottas and kimi can beat vettel this race. Hamilton needs to close up the gap back to 1 point.
For Sure!!

For the sake of interest please Seb dont botch it on start. If Hamilton by the end of lap 1 has bottas behind him than its race over.
Merc is too strong in first sector....the only chance for Vettel is to keep the second place vs Bottas and make an undercut.
I think you can see that - new PU or no - ferrari were running more wing than Mercedes, hence why they were fast in S2.

This, it seemed from FP2, may allow them to look after their tyres better, so I suspect it'll be game on for the race.

The tow was negligible in effect and I personally think, given respective strengths of both cars, Vettel's lap was also very very impressive.

Didnt watch QF. Did Mercedes struggle with tire temperatures on the US? Any signs? Maybe that is a reason the gap was smaller?
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

Strategy, US pit lap 18, use softs until the end. A two stop won't be faster.

Well apparently Fernando didn't lift in Pouhon... And even the Honda PU wasn't expecting it!

Is it possible that MER, given his advantage on single lap on this kind of track, used race oriented setup? 0.25 sec (plus 0.2 from tow) is a very small gap for SPA
