Merc is too strong in first sector....the only chance for Vettel is to keep the second place vs Bottas and make an undercut.

if lewis has a bad start or misses eau rouge like he did in 2013 he should be ok.

Is it possible that MER, given his advantage on single lap on this kind of track, used race oriented setup? 0.25 sec (plus 0.2 from tow) is a very small gap for SPA

Half a second is small? ok.

0.45 sec with MER qualy mode, on such a long track that should also suited for Mercedes car isn't big at all

Isola mentions La Source as well, suspects of high grip with high torque causing these vibrations... Strange that this didn't occur earlier in the season...

Standing waves in the tyre maybe. Definitely the forced vibrations matched whatever the natural frequency of the tyre carcas was at that point in time. All the teams runs similar tyre pressures these days, so definitely shows why it affected more than one.
