Mclaren not doing that bad, although it's only friday. Heard nothing about the 3.7 spec PU trialed today..was it any better?
Surprisingly good tough I see now improvement with the new PU, they will use the "old" one though.

If a staff member actually explicitly says that to a manager then yes the manager must invite them to leave. However, low performance engines apparently do influence the manager's ability to recruit and retain good staff. Vasseur at Sauber apparently put his foot down about ditching Honda engines in order to motivate and retain good staff.
Sauber's decision to "ditch" Honda PU was their inability to build a gearbox for the PU or procure one. Sorry off topic.
In reality it was because the Ferrari engine will be better than the Honda engine for at least 2018.

When I say better it's an understatement...

In reality again, the Ferrari will the best or nearly equal to the Mercedes whereas the Honda will be the worst.

And also because of Mclaren's hesitation in supplying gearboxes to them.

The deal will be McLaren and Toro Rosso with Honda for 2018 and beyond. Honda is not going to break contract with McLaren because they want to stay with them.
Likely ALO will get a seat with Andretti, that's in the air. He is waiting for Spec 4.

I'm thinking the same thing. Mclaren and Toro Rosso with Honda in 2018.
If in 2018 Honda fails again, he broke the contract voluntarily to stay with Toro Rosso. And all happy(?

They all lie.

But let me elaborate. Sometimes lies are told to cover the real issues. This situation is a very good example. He lied so as not to be seen purely scrapping the Honda deal to go with Ferrari. What that means is what I said before...

Ferrari very good engine, Honda bad engine.

Sauber don't want it to come accross like that as they never know what could happen in the future, maybe they will have a Honda engine at some point.

Another word for lies could be political. Lies are easily forgotten and sometimes easily beleived. In fact studies have shown that people react very well to lies and sometimes react positively like they want to be lied to...

That is a distant reason or not a reason at all why it never went ahead. First is pure performance.
