Class post! I'm quite okay with LH winning. The guy's journey is truly inspiring and he deserves it. I like he mentioned his family. His dad, as obnoxious as he was in the paddock is an absolute rockstar. The dude did 3/4 jobs to get his son to where he's at. I think we tend to forget all of that in the razzmatazz.Sieper wrote: ↑30 Oct 2017, 11:08Fair enough, from your viewpoint that is actually a defendable standpoint. I think Lewis thought it was on purpose (me too I have to admit). I think all drivers are constantly in a battle of ego's. Actually off track Seb is usually (always?) very, very classy. It is just that on track he does sometimes seem to get too hot. It is hurting him the most. I personally have the same, Lets call it passion, when I am sporting. It sometimes helps you but it can also work against you, and others.Schuttelberg wrote: ↑30 Oct 2017, 10:05Well, I didn't like the radio message at all. Personally, I never take radio messages seriously. It's all heat in the moment stuff. Also, Vettel is not like Schumacher. Schumacher's actions were cold, calculated and grey. Vettel is not going to go down that route but he's a hot head and he can do a Baku again.Sieper wrote: ↑30 Oct 2017, 02:26
I am devious like that! I apologise and welcome also Hammy to the club! May I try (as I am so devious already anyway) to probe for your opinion on Hamilton asking about it on the radio to his engineer as well?
He said it in exactly the same words on sky, no coincedence I would think:

Of course he is not saying anything outright, just implying, he is in F1 longer then today but If I am devious just, then how do you explain what Hamilton means here?
On the interview side? Well, Lewis is a great driver so I don't let some of the shades of his personality cloud my judgement. At least I try not to let it. However, I've always felt that LH has a desperation of victimhood. He loves to portray that the whole world is against him, 'still he rises.' The reality is far from it.
Also, as a fan I'm so down with the loss of the title so I can imagine the feelings of Seb. More than Lewis, the constant low blows by a certain Alonso just lacks class and dignity.
Listen, next year Seb will have the chance again, but for his own sake he must remain more composed, don't let baku happen again. I am a Max fan und should he also be in the mix I actually fear for his passion as well. Well 2 more races where only victory is at stake and then on to next year!
As for the Baku episode? I thought Seb would learn after 16, but he hasn't. I'm his fan and I have no qualms in admitting he absolutely needs a crash course on anger management. But, having said everything, he's not a bookkeeper. He's a racing driver, a heck of a racing driver at that and I love him for all his mistakes as I do for his brilliance.
