also, is his changed helmet design incorporating the martini-livery not an indication he'll be a contracted driver?

I assume that little added camera on the air intake (next to his head) is to have a look at what he does/cannot do with his right arm. Interesting. I really hope he makes a comeback. I really do

And he gets to do more tomorrow. They wouldn't do that if he had any serious issue handling the car, so he does look to be relative strain free concerning his hand. Williams is understood to be pleased: https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/kubi ... ms-983787/

I wouldn't read anything into that. Helmets are easily changed and it may be that any driver who tests for them has to have the martini band added - especially given how many eyes are going to be on Kubica this test!!
I'm trying very, very hard not to get my hopes up because I would absolutely love to have Robert back on the grid.

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻♂️
Williams has obviously more data to judge if Kubica is still fast but its pretty clear that the guy CAN drive a F1 car. Almost a two races distance only this morning, amazing.
