Nothing as far as I can see
(Cheers), Yeah they've definitely added extra cooling on it so it looks like a stop gap measure to finish the tests so hopefully it works.
With a careful conclusion that the problem is/was a bit bigger then a "two dollar" bolt that broke.
Not really, it could still just be a 2 dollar clamp that got a little too hot and broke. Everyone is going nuts about it but it caused them no issues running the car once they fixed it.
Presumably to try to seal the sides of the floor but in doing so sacrificing airflow over the top of the diffuser at the back. I'm sure it must be a net benefit though, otherwise they wouldn't've done it. It could be it allows them to run more rake?
I think its meant to feed the diffuserbonjon1979 wrote: ↑06 Mar 2018, 15:40Presumably to try to seal the sides of the floor but in doing so sacrificing airflow over the top of the diffuser at the back. Air sucked under the floor and driven towards the diffuser (bottom side) ?
