But I was equally surprised/impressed how many laps ALO and VAN did on the soft tire

no doubt. i thought at first that alonso missed a huge op when he pitted right before the safety car but it worked out pretty good in the end.

Vandoorne was bad at the start of his drive, and he seems to have go worse with experience, not better, they need to be looking for someone because now it's costing them points, it didn't matter with the Honda in before.

He's been left stood by alonso since he got in the car. Button was fighting with alonso most of the time. He needs a hurry up or a replacement at the end of the season.

Yeah I think thats unwarranted, his drive last week was brilliant. The start was admittedly shocking, but he recovered, imagine where he could have been without the start. 11 on track overtakes I think?

Guys, chill on the VAN bashing. He was caught out by the safety car with cars on fresher soft rubber behind him. He stood no chance. His pace before that was GREAT. until the safety car, he prob had competed the most passes in the race.

if. wold... should... they need to make changes to the team and the car, so they can go back again to be a top team.

I do hope my favorite team bounces back to the top, but not because of luck.. or a crystal ball lol...

watching Alonso (mclaren) pass vettel (Ferrari) was moment of the day for me. Alonso was again mega today. Vandoorne must go , he cause mclaren double point finish after race restart.

Race Pace is pretty good. I don't feel as bad as yesterday. Bring on the upgrades!

Ive got a very good childhood friend that works inside Mclaren and they are really positive about the upgrade, also why i knew they had huge drag issues since late testing... so something they knew early on.
anyway they were positive also before start of the season so lets see if they fix the problem.
