Is it only me that doesn't see how the bridge wing is fixed in the redbull car?

f#7king bullshit the cars were too fast, the FIA are a bunch of w#nkers, they cars are too slow, and if ur an f1 driver you take the risk of driving in the world most prestiges and fastest sport so live with the fear of death

It moved much more nicely in the Spanish 2007 race. When the car pitched it would flex agressively.

I brought it up as soon as it was introduced... nothing. What's the pt?

anyone watching qualifying can you get a video of G fisichella's run about 9 seconds from the end of the first Q session? The sidepods are vibrating and deflecting loads as he goes down the straight. Thoughts?

its not possible to build a structure that dosent flex. The FIA should try making up rules they can actually enforce

technically yes, but there are varying degrees of flexure.

If anyone watched the Spanish Grand Prix (and I'm sure you all did!) you should have seen how much deflection the Renaults engine-cover fin had. It was significant...I'm not sure how that can help air flow over the rear wing but I don't have a wind tunnel or a nice CFD package at hand to test :D

this is why they need to attach a number instead of saying nothing can flex.

They had a good system with the cannot deflect more than xx cm with xx kg applied

that makes much more sense than a small group of people trying out think the brightest guys in racing

Hi
Regarding mclaren bridge wing support and why its different from the rest do you think it still allows sum flex as the hook shaped part could deflect?

I dont know, but it was apparent that the new Williams support isnt very strong. It cost Kazuki his race!!!

I thought it could allow for greater flexing as it could be pulled down. The res appear to be propped up so the force acting down wouldn't pull the wing down that much but McLarens one seems to allow greater flexing.
It was apparent there was alot of flexing in the wings beforehand and I don't recall any shots of the front wing during the Montreal race so can't say how much it's been affected.

It would be nice to see some onboard shots of the bridge wings of all the teams...

I would also like to see the sidepod flexture on the FIF1 that was mentioned on this thread.

Anyone have links?
