My guess is that VGs are there to further prevent mixing turbulence from mirrors with downstream undisturbed flow. Something like Haas is doing with side pod deflectors.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Can someone skilled focus on the "use" of the "special" leaver from this video?

Kimi threw it away and would have been quicker without it, so I don't see it anymore as anything other than a relocated switch for driver preference.

It looks to me like it is the same wing with Vettel just running lover AoA. Because of that it looks, when seen in this angle, that the wing is smaller but it actually isn't.

That could also explain why Raikkonen was that much faster through the middle sector in qualifying.

So it seems that those three edges on the mirrors are just to comply with the rules that don't allow you to see the asphalt from above, or something like that that I didn't fully understand.

Yes . that is what the article says. Just to comply with the regs.
