Pls check lap times RAI-ALO. Same tyres with same number of laps on a damaged car... Around .7 to 1.2 most of the time
Same Damage ?

No way that car that came to pit on 2 wheels has floor damage. No chance...

Alonso so far 5 7 7 7, the man is a magician. 28pts and still best of the rest, and ahead of one of the Red Bulls.

That doesn't really matter ...my point is you can't measure it. Sometime less damage is more depending on what got damaged.

Him driving into the pits, just lol. I have to admit that the team is operating quite good. That and Alonso are the only positives points from the first races.

They took alot of DF off. The Biggest gap to RBR in Quali was in S2.

Anyways, none of that matter any more. New Car in Spain.

It was epic, easily the most nervous moment in the race but now that it turned out OK its easily the coolest too :)

I think it’s time to give Eric B some credit for team operations and the team’s position so far

I agree. You can't blame him for the mediocre chassis and not give him credit for the excellent reliability and good pitstops and strategy

The team has made the right strategy calls and all, but the car is still too slow, it's being dragged by Fernando. However, Eric does deserve credit for the decisions and quick fixes for cooling and reliability, etc. We'll give credit to the team after Spain though. Waiting patiently.

I still don't think we'll see the real 2018 car until Silverstone. Though this will be a nice upgrade probably good for half a second.

New ideas learned during the season and the lead times involved in manufacturing the parts. Design, CFD and wind tunnel testing, validation then finally on the car. All that stuff takes a couple months. The Barcelona update has been 4 months in the making going on 5. Silverstone is the better part of 2 months away, so I'm guessing there, earliest for the French GP.
