Those low nose rules really prevent cars from climbing on to each other. Now they are diving below each other. And thats way better?
Not sure the Halo would keep all parts away from the drivers head
I realise this is the caption competition thread, but this crash, combined with Webber's Valencia crash actually point out exactly
why this is actually better.
With a high nose, the body-to-wheel impact kicks the following car upwards, which is uncontrolled, and can lead to all kinds of nasty things like flipping, and crashing upside down into the barriers at high speed.
With a low nose, the body-to-wheel impact instead kicks the forward car downwards, compressing the cars together, and leading to a more controlled crash.
The rotation direction of the wheels that are hit in the impact matters, a lot.
