Scuderia Ferrari SF71H

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

On both sides? And with the same shape?

Seems broken to me as well, can't imagine the inside of the mirror showing like that.

Thinking: Could it be that the mirror, which has more drag than normal mirrors, got to much resistance/inside pressure on high speed and therefore cracked/bent a little bit until the moment the air could get out?

It clearly is a double mirror configuration. Maybe Kimi was simulating vodka effects, who knows.

I thought that it should still be visible on the left, but looking back at it and taking the tooth in the casing as a reference It may actually be hidden under the Halo.

But to be honest, seeing that there's pictures of the car on track with the split, and the split on the right side as well I think it actually is there on purpose.

One mirror may be more zoomed out?
Anyhow it could be an excuse to use the mirrors as turning vanes to push air outside of the rear wing end plate or thereabout to impact the rear wing.
For Sure!!

I cant wait to see better pictures of the mirror fixed to the halo.

It will be interesting to see who follows suit...
