According to Newey it was completely destroyed.
Newey also refuted suggestions the MGU-K in Ricciardo’s car is salvageable.

“I rather doubt it, considering it caught fire and was a burnt out, charred wreck,” Newey told Reuters.

“I would be somewhat surprised at that one.”

“He will definitely be taking some penalties in Montreal, we haven’t heard at the moment just how many,” he added.
Sounds like Renault have been smoking crack again!

Just move the pit straight one to between 7-8. I feel like 3 zones is a bit much.

The two maps number the corners differently.

One has turn 12, the other turn 13 as the WoC.

Looking forward to seeing how many laps Max can stay on track.

I’m guessing that one doesn’t number T5 as a corner as it is really only a curved run in towards the braking zone for the next chicane.

As a side note, is the corner itself actually called Wall of Champions or is it just the the wall on the exit as I thought? Naming an entire corner after a technically unrelated part of architecture on the exit would be like calling the Parabolica “previously gravelled tarmac run-off” :lol:

I think the difference is after the 180degrees onto the back straight. Second map ("official") says there are two corners (11&12)before the last chicane. I think it's kinda too much to classify the "official" 11 as a turn.

Out of interest, does anyone know why we havent seen any of the Driver briefings ? I loved seeing a few last year. Why cant we see the briefing for every race ??

2014 - Qualified 7th and 10th, almost 1 second off the pace. Finished the race 6th and 10th, behind a hamstrung Rosberg, both Red Bulls, a McLaren and a Force India, with another FI and Williams having removed themselves from the equation.

Yes, I would agree, from 2015-2017 they had the 2nd fastest car, which sounds competitive. But the time differentials indicate otherwise. Raikkonen is nowhere, but Vettel has been able to split the Mercedes, under optimal circumstances. Otherwise, they've been less competitive here than other circuits.

Perhaps its simply Hamilton's exceptional ability around this track that 'widens' the divide.

Not just that but also I'm unable to see some team principals' press conferences and post-race pressers since the longest times. There are some moments like when Valtteri was speaking in Finnish which I only got to hear through some bootleggy recording.
