One of my favourite tracks. Ferrari should be stronger here but last year they didn´t find(for some reason) the pace to be truly competitive so I will wait until I see their pace on FP2, or FP3 if it rains on Friday. As someone has already mentioned rain on FP1/2 is not a good thing for Ferrari as they really need some time to find the appropiate set-up.

Anyway, Ferrari and Vettel truly need to win here and in Singapur if they want to find for the championship until the last race. Lots of points were lost in the previous 3 races(pre-summer break) and I am afraid they will miss them.

Something tell me that it will be another "just meh" update. Renault has been, by far, the factory which has done a worse job in this hybrid era.

Mercedes have been always very impressive there. I expect a very aggressive setup maybe in qualy the top speed with DRS and litte bit of tow will be around 360.

In term of tire deg, as I'm reading your posts I think that we shouldn't underestimate how much Mercedes improved, in Germany Hamilton did almost half of the race with his US IIRC. The Merc tend to find a way to make the softer tires work again after their downfall. Nevertheless the Merc are always in big trouble with the SS in any weather...

Ferrari 1-2 on Saturday and 1-3 on Sunday. They've had the dominant car and Spa was sobering. I'm of the opinion now that it's Ferrari's title to lose and only reliability or an unraveling as last year will snatch it away.

Your prediction is most likely right. However, a 1-2 on Sunday too would confirm a change in the dominant team.
Always find the gap then use it.

Dominant car? 2 tenths per lap cca is dominant?

Tell me something, if a driver has 1 win and 1 PP in the wet and then he has numerus bluffs like Canada 2011, Germany 2018 Hungary Qualis that i can remember...what would be his recerence for wet driving?

Another PU issue for Ricciardo. Seems the team are helping him confirm that his move is a good one...

I dunno, Honda hasn't done well either. It's not an easy formula to compete in right now

Sometimes mistakes happen. Even Lewis has his occasional offs in wet conditions. Spa 2010, Spa 2018 Quali, Malaysia 2009. Yet Vettel still went on to become World Champion in 2012 in the torrential rain at Brazil.

Verstappen in 2015 was amazing in Brazil, but he also made a mistake spinning on the run up to start/finish. Yet in treacherous conditions in Hungary this season, he didn't set a blistering time. So perhaps Verstappen isn't great in the wet either...
