In the hindsight, yes. But he overtook Grosjean there just a little earlier. Ferrari had very good acceleration between the hairpin and the Spoon corner.

Should have preserved his full battery, tug in through 130r, make sure you get a good exit on the chicane and battery boost passed Max on the straight. He had all the cards and blow it. Just like I Monza where he wanted to take Kimi and Instead got taken by Hamilton.

There is NO way that move on Verstappen was going to end any other way. How many times have they come together now? Of all the drivers Vettel needs to realise that Verstappen is going to give him no quarter.

Making half a overtake trying to stick in a corner where it isn't really possible. Vettel made his move while Verstappen already had his line and gave him a bit of space. It was very very clumsy of Vettel once again. The last few seasons every time its car to car, whoever he is racing, he makes these half stick moves. First of, it would help if he stopped blaming everybody. Just his year he's been hitting Hamilton, Verstappen, Bottas...

Verstappen was regenerating battery just before the corner, Vettel wasn't and made a reasonable move imo. I think Verstappen at least carries some blame because he knew Vettel would be on his tail when he was regenerating energy.
