Quite. I fear that a) most cars will look even more similar next year and b) we will see much less advancement during a season (since aero and engine developments were the two biggest, not a lot can happen now).
I disagree, the battle of the regenerative systems will be interesting I think. Along with more opportunity for the drivers to take risks.
Problem is however that we can't see this advancement. Also, the KERS is very limited so you probably wont see much more advancement than packaging wise.

Have any of the teams stated that they have achieved the max allowance on KERS usage?
I expect all the teams will have the max allowed by the start of 2009, but I don't recall any team saying that they are already there, and working on packageing yet.
Its hard to say, I thought the Macca (last years one too) was beautiful....but those antler wings?! ERGH! NO WAY! Ferrari almost always make beautiful cars, this year is not one of those years...I find the whole thing (maybe its the livery) not even a tenth as gorgeous as the stuning F2003-GA, The BMW looks cool, but too untidy, its not beautiful.
The FW30 was a beautiful car, until they changed the nose. The FIF1 is okay I guess, as are the RBR cars, the Renault can't be judged purely because of that frankly disgraceful livery (I thought the R25 & R26 looked great and the R27 - when it was in its interim blue livery!)
For once the toyota's a bit of a looker, but the Ugliest car of 2008 - (of all time....maybe not) is this years god-awful Honda. Its not just the livery, its the whole damn thing....it could at least be quick...ish - couldn't it?! Aesthetically in both aero design and livery design I find it appauling.
Silence is golden when you don't know a good answer.
Actually I do like the RBR, not only because its livery but because of its entire design. The nose cone for example, and the curvy front wing are very nice to look at. The Toyota is indeed fairly nice too
On the other hand, the dumbo wings look terrible on any car. Initially I found the BMW good looking until they added the nose wings. Although pretty subjective, I'd say the Force India for its livery (even their own people don't like it), and maybe the Honda as a car.
