OK I needed to do something in anticipation so I just tried to do what I could with these shots for those who have really good keen pattern-recognition to sniff out anything particular or make out something. I can't obviously.

Alas, I don't have CSI: Miami hardware or I would have "enhanced" much better rofl.

The first image's sharpened version shows a strange and interesting shape.

Strange, I can see them fine. Is it your AdBlocker? Can you open the direct links if you quote my message and access the links from there?

Honestly I don't see anything out of the ordinary. The perturbed white(ish) shapes seem just rough pixel compression residues.

IMO they're more likely specular from the bodywork. But yea, can't tell until high-res images are out. This was just a time-pass lol.

It most likely reflection off the new style wider rear wing pylons, at the point where they curve inward behind (and above) the rear wheels. Rear view of the W09 simulating 2019 rear wing (Barcelona test in May 2018).

What is this noise right after he releases throttle after accelerating? For example at 0:24 and 1:24. Is it really the turbo dump?

And what's this steam engine like noise after 0:40 for like 7 seconds?
I heard it too, like a release of gas when it changes gear.

Yes sounds like a wastgate turbo flutter. Maybe this one is part of the anti-lag system solution from 2021 when the MGU-H "probably" will disappear so they are looking ahead a bit. Just a thought..
Interesting. Thanks you both.
Would you have any idea why its so pronounced this year? El_KaPpa has suggested something.

IMO, the car was far from running full power. It's even possible the MGU-H was turned off, so naturally the wastegate had to be used to be able to vent the gasses.

I can only assume as being vented outside ( it's allowed ? ) or it's because of Go Pro recording without filters compared with official onboard.
Of course I struggle. I just don’t quit.

There's been some talk about Merc finding more efficiency with the power unit and clearly there is more performance to be had somewhere, judging by Ferrari's car last year. Just wondering if anyone has heard any more about whether Merc has actually found more power and where?

Yes, the height of this front wing stunned me too!
They are running on wets which are a thicker tire due to the tread. So the car will look higher than when it's on the normal tires.
I'm pretty sure we are both aware of that, but even on wets its high!
It's because of how the outer spans of the wing curves upwards. Visually I don't find it very appealing, but it appears to be a 2019 design trend throughout the grid.

Yes! I think you're on to something here... I've noticed that too this morning but i could just come here on the forum quite lately to see if anyone else have picked it up too. It took me a while to find your tiny post ahaha!

Here you go, with a pic highlighting what we both came up to think...

http://i66.tinypic.com/25icj6x.jpg
Looks no different than last year to be honest, and all reports suggest there were no changes to the front suspension, just the rear
I'm sorry, i have to disagree.

Something has definitely changed in the area where the push rod connects with the hub. My guess is there's an additional external pivot like for the upper wishbone. I might be wrong, but you can't say it looks no different, just compare the W09 and W10 pics... i think it should be better to check this part of the car deeper next week rather than overlook it.

It's difficult to say for certain, but it looks to me like the entire front suspension (the arms and pushrod where it connects to the wheel) sits higher than it did on the W09?

That's for sure.

But what i specifically wanted to highlight is that the push-rod arm seems to be tilted even backwards,
and it seems almost impossible for it to be joint with the hub the same way it was in 2018.

Therefore i supposed Mercedes added an additional external pivot with this purpose.

We need a better picture from above

Okay, I see what you mean. I guess we'll have to wait until Monday for some good overhead shots.
