Some small fins on the wheel hub as well.

look like vortex generators to put air behind the wheels and clean up the wheel turbulence.

Due to the lack of bumps in the engine cover it HAS to be fatter than the Merc?

Given the bumps are due to mandatory mountings that cannot be moved.

In the pic Crixus posted there's markings which are probably in 10cm steps around the front tyres, so the yellow tape on the ground should show the wheelbase ... assuming that it's the case would mean it's between 3.60m - 3.70m ... roughly 3.64m-ish (last year most outlets said it was 3.62)

Aren't those illegal by 2019 rules?

Looks like a loophole found, if you make the brake duct cover concave you can use that room for aero purposes.

On another topic, Ferrari seems to have dialled back the rake for the SF90.

think ferrari have produced a super car this year. seems very stable in corners and also very aero efficient. combine with excellent power unit.

lets hope they keep up the development and limit the team mistakes

This report states that Ferrari has a system to lower the rear axle on the straights in order to reduce drag:

Red Bull / Toro Rossos / Franz Toast stating that would give them half a second advantage over merc or more :o

It doesn't state that this system gives them 0.5 secs over Merc! Instead it says that Ferrari are over 0.5 secs in front of Merc right now and that has to do both with the front wing design and the rear axle lowering in the straight...which is totally legal it seems!
Also Franz Tost says that it will take 3-4 months to copy the Ferrari front wing design since you will have to change the whole car aero philosophy!

Mclaren has similar wing philosophy?
Edit: and how the hell is lowering axle legal?

I think the rear axle just lowers under aero load on the straights.. Nothing new and nothing illegal. Some active device would obviously be illegal.

It’s very visible how the Ferrari tiltes under braking. Especially at the end of the long straight. Much more than other cars.

Any footage where you can clearly see this? I tried to find something, but in my opinion there is nothing realy visible, especially when seeing the front of the car.

Just sounds like they have soft sprung rear suspension, which isn't exactly unique or technical.

That would make the rear squat under the new higher aero loads at the rear at high speed, and jump up under braking more than usual.

Sounds like a weird thing to make note of tbh as its a standard ooccurrence and common trait of F1 cars.
